Slaglisten
oversette.)
Slaglisten
is a so called "e-mail discussion-list" on the
Internet, where stroke victims can exchange points of view, experiences,
incredibly bad jokes and (hopefully?) good advice through e-mail messages that
are automatically distributed to all the members of the list.
Note! The dominant language on Slaglisten is Norwegian
Våre hensikter med Slaglisten
har vært flg.:
Our purpose with Slaglisten
has been this:
To be a general forum for all who want to participate in discussions and news concerning Brain Strokes.
To be a medium through which Stroke Victims can establish contact with others in the same situation in Scandinavia and around the world. Both because this helps break the social isolation that inevitably follows the physical handicaps and because we who established Slaglisten believe from our own experiences, that the Internet communication and associated computer activities promote Cognitive Rehabilitation better than any other method we know of or have been offered by the public health service. For aphasia victims, written communication might also be of help in retraining language skills and restoring vocabularies without the pressure to achieve that is often experienced in face to face dialogues.
To relay news about stroke rehabilitation methods, and medical research of interest to stroke victims.
To locate and stay in touch with similar sites and activities on the Internet.
Slaglisten and Slagsiden are run on a volunteer basis, depending on the active participation of its members for contents and maintenance. The listserve serving Slaglisten was made available for free by the firm Bergen Nett og Media, of Bergen, Norway. Consequently it is free to participate on our Stroke discussion form.
